Let me Introduce myself –

Hi Everyone I’m Amy-Lee Farr, I’m a photographer, marketer and podcaster, who helps people who struggle with content marketing such as social media and blogging etc as well as mindset transformation to save time, end the struggle and really see the success they envisioned at the beginning of their journey.

When I first started in business over 10 years ago, I literally had no idea what I was doing and I fumbled my way through, I spent hours of time researching and learning all of the different ways I could take my dream and make it a reality.  It was really hard, and it took a long, long time on that learning curve journey.

I remember being bullied online as a photographer, I remember failing over and over. Until I wasn’t failing anymore, and I started having win after win. Since then I have spent years perfecting what I learned from my experiences, educating myself and developing various businesses for myself and coaching others so they could have similar and even more successful than myself.

So, after all of that, I collated the years of information I learned and put it all together to share with others online through Twenty4 Social. Which brings me to today’s Live topic. ‘The Secret To Creating a 45 minute Social Media Workflow’

I want to assure you that you are in the right place if you are a business owner using social media or thinking of starting a business and using social media to market yourself.

You’re in the right place if you have been on social media for a while and just can’t seem to get traction with your posts, maybe struggling with the engagement of your audience. Maybe social media advertising seems like something you will never understand.

Also, you’re also in the right place if you are overwhelmed by the thought of using social media because you really just don’t have the time to dedicate to social media.

In the next 5 days we will go on a journey together to solve the issues overwhelming you, cut down the time you spend posting to social media, increase audience engagement and start to see a monetary return for your investment of time and money into social media.

One of the things I hear the most from business owners is the desire for more time. I get it. I wish I had an extra few hours in my day, too.

If I had just one more hour in my day, I could probably at least shower before 5pm.

But since we’re only granted 24 hours, let’s chat about how we leverage it, shall we?

I’ve discovered that when I plan for success, I’m successful.

I know that sounds simple, but planning is the first step to accomplishing precisely what you want.

Speaking of steps, let’s break this down into an easy step-by-step process so you can plan a schedule for social media.

Step 1- Decide How many Times You Can Realistically post each week

The best way to grow your social platforms is to show up on a consistent basis.

There are few things worse than disappearing from Instagram, then returning with a new-found vengeance posting six photos in a day (#annoying).

When your followers don’t know what to expect, they’re less likely to engage, or worse, they may unfollow your account.

When you decide how many times you’ll post in a week, you know exactly how to execute your approach in a strategic and paced way.

I suggest posting 5-7 times per week to boost momentum.

Step 2 – Categorise Event-Related Posts

I love this monthly activity when it comes to social media. It’s probably because I am the type of person who looks for any excuse to have a party.

It could be something small like national coffee day and I’m like party at my place!

In all seriousness, understanding social events for the month is an incredibly helpful tool when it comes to creating and sharing content.

STEP 3 – Break the Month into Weeks

Once I have an overview of social media for the month, I outline how I will execute my plan one week at a time (but, hey, if you can manage more than one week at a time, rock on with your bad self!).

Every Friday, I plan my content for the week, and typically incorporate: one event-related post, three work-related posts, and three narrated posts.

In your Toolkit I have included my Weekly Social Media to Do list, so feel free to print it out and use it every week!

You challenge today is:

Day One –

  1. Change your profile image on your Facebook page or Instagram / LinkedIn account. On Facebook remember to include in the caption your website URL and links to other social media accounts or promotional deals. If you have been using a little freshen it up with a photo of you or the team smiling facing the camera
  • Second part of today’s challenge is post an image (or video) plus a caption showing the behind the scenes of what you do or a short tutorial of your product.

In Your Toolkit I have included 5 example captions to use if you are stuck for what to write, simply fill in the blanks or use my ideas.
